Jonathan Manwaring, D.O.

Undergraduate School: BYU - Idaho and Idaho State University
Medical School: Midwestern University - AZCOM
Clinical Interests: Sports Medicine, Underserved Populations, Rural Medicine, Pediatrics

I was born and raised in Idaho Falls, ID as the 7th of 8 children. Shortly after high school, I served a two-year church mission to Chicago where I learned Spanish, and have since “moonlighted” as a medical Spanish interpreter during medical school. During undergrad, I married my wife, Rachel, and we have since had four children: Allyson, six, Isaac, four, Austin, two, and Isabel, three months. Following graduation from ISU, we moved to Glendale for medical school with the intention of leaving the state for residency. But after falling in love with Phoenix and Phoenix Baptist, we couldn’t picture ourselves leaving and have not regretted our decision since.

I enjoy many hobbies including spending time with my wife and kids, volleyball, basketball, doing home/yard improvement projects, playing board games, eating good food, watching college and professional sports, playing the piano, current events, and speaking Spanish.

I chose PBH first and foremost for the great group of people here, the opportunity to serve the underserved, exceptional training in practice management, and the preparation to practice in whatever setting I will eventually choose.
