Dr. Hall is Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Arizona, College of Medicine – Phoenix. She is Core faculty, Arizona Reynolds Program in Applied Geriatrics, and Arizona Geriatric Education Center. She is also director of the Phoenix-based Institute for Health Professions Education -- a non-profit organization providing educational and related services to professionals, organizations and communities. A graduate of Columbia University, Dr. Hall received her Masters in Public Health degree in Chronic Disease, Adult Health and Aging from the University of Michigan where she also received her PhD in Gerontology. Dr. Hall has many years of experience in creating and implementing programs and services for older adults, and teaching gerontology and geriatric care to medical students, residents, other health professionals and the community. Her special research interests include the impact of culture and ethnicity on health and health care. She works extensively with Indian tribes in Arizona as well as the Indian Health Service, and has been awarded a certificate of outstanding achievement by the Navajo tribe and a certificate of appreciation for outstanding contributions to the Indian people of Arizona from the Phoenix Area Indian Health Service. She regularly participates on national and local boards and committees, and is a frequent speaker at meetings and conferences. |
