Mia Adriano, MD MPH

Undergraduate School: 1. UC Riverside, California
2. Loma Linda University, California
Medical School: American University of the Caribbean, School of Medicine
Clinical Interests: Women and Children's Health, Community Medicine

From the day I was born it seems that I was destined to do two things: travel and practice family medicine. While my parents are from the Philippines, I was born in Japan, lived in Hawaii and California. Southern Cali is what I call home, it's where I grew up and attended U.C. Riverside to obtain a BS in Psychobiology and Loma Linda University for an MPH in Health Promotion and Education. Afterwards, I ventured off to pursue my dream of becoming a family doctor by moving to the French West Indies for medical school. I completed clinical rotations along the country coasts including New York, Maryland, Washington D.C. and Northern California.

Now, I am here in Phoenix where the people are friendly and the outdoor activities are plentiful. With a background in Public Health, I have experience working with family units in various community programs.

As a family medicine resident, I hope to integrate these experiences by becoming involved in women and children's health and community medicine. During my spare time I enjoy being with family, running/being active, and shopping. My husband and I are excited about our move to Arizona and look forward to exploring this wonderful state.
